In Space No One Can Hear You Turn 40: Celebrating Four Decades of “Alien”

It’s been 40 years since Ridley Scott‘s Alien redefined the moviegoing experience by combining an enthralling blend of science fiction and horror. It also featured a female protagonist (Siguourney Weaver as the trailblazing space trucker Ellen Ripley), something that was groundbreaking at the time for genre films and paved the way for everything from Terminator 2: Judgment Day to Captain Marvel.
