Director Tim Burton’s debut feature followed Paul Reubens as Pee-wee on a surreal odyssey across the western half of the country in search of his beloved stolen bike. Along with Reubens’ manic man-child, the hit comedy offered an colorful assortment of eccentrics, from fugitive prisoners and ghostly truck drivers to Francophile diner waitresses and chatty Alamo tour guides…to say nothing of Amazing Larry.
To celebrate the film’ 40th birthday, we’d like you to vote in this week’s poll for which character other than Pee-wee himself was your favorite. If we neglected to list yours, let us know in the comments section. Oh, and “be sure and tell ’em Large Marge sent ya!”
