MovieFanFare’s New Home: Check Out the Unlimited Dispatch!

MovieFanFare

6/18/2009 – 5/31/2026

As Captain Jeffrey T. Spaulding (Groucho Marx) sang in Animal Crackers, “Hello, I must be going!” But don’t worry — we’re simply heading to a new home.

After nearly 17 years, we’re shutting off the camera and dimming the lights at MovieFanFare. We’re grateful for all our readers who came here for reviews of vintage and contemporary films, salutes to the legendary (and unsung) stars and creators of Hollywood, and news on the latest home video releases. We’ve enjoyed interacting with you through our movie and TV polls and other features, and we’re thankful for the many guest contributors we’ve worked with over the years.

This isn’t goodbye, however. Effective immediately, you can check out your favorite articles — as well as brand‑new posts — over at our new location, The Unlimited Dispatch. It’s part of our recently renovated Movies Unlimited retail site, and as we say there, it’s “Your lens on Films & TV and the stories behind the discs that matter. Join us as we break down what’s new, what’s classic, and what deserves a spot in your collection.” Whether you’re a diehard movie buff or you’re looking to build up your home cinema library, there’ll be plenty of informative and (we hope) entertaining content in the Dispatch. To paraphrase Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) from Casablanca, “This looks like the continuation of a beautiful friendship.”
