As evidenced by this month’s release of Jurassic World: Rebirth, movie audiences still can’t enough of dinosaurs. The film franchise based on Michael Crichton’s novel is now 32 years old. Prehistoric creatures, however, have been showing up on the silver screen for over a century. Sometimes they’re meticulously filmed stop-motion models (1925’s The Lost World). Sometimes they’re lifelike CGI animations (Disney’s Dinosaur). And sometimes they’re just iguanas and alligators with glued-on horns and fins (1960’s The Lost World).
For this week’s poll, we’d like to know which non-“Jurassic Universe” dinosaur flick is your favorite. Whether you like your dinos rampaging in the modern world or attacking fur bikini-clad cavewomen, cast your vote and tell us why in the comments. And if your choice isn’t listed, let us know.
