Poll: What’s Your Favorite Errol Flynn Film?

This Friday marks the 116th birthday of one of the most popular screen swashbucklers of all time, Errol Flynn. Born on the Australian island of Tasmania in 1909, Flynn’s first film role was as Fletcher Christian in the Aussie film In the Wake of the Bounty. After travelling to London to pursue an acting career, he was eventually signed by Warner Bros. Making his Hollywood debut playing a corpse (!) in 1935’s The Case of the Curious Bride, Flynn shot to stardom later that year in the pirate saga Captain Blood. Over the next quarter-century Errol reigned as one of Hollywood’s most popular leading men, portraying such figures as Robin Hood, Gen. George A. Custer, boxer James J. Corbett, Don Juan, and many more. He passed away from a heart attack in Canada in 1959.

For this week’s poll we’ve selected 20 of Flynn’s most memorable movies, and now we’d like you to vote for your favorite. Does The Adventures of Robin Hood hit the bull’s eye? Does Gentleman Jim score a knockout? And if your top Flynn film isn’t on our list, tell us about it in the comments below.
