For our first spooky-themed movie post this October, we are throwing it back to 1978’s original Halloween film. John Carpenter‘s seminal slasher not only was a massive hit that reinvigorated the horror genre (legitimizing it the eyes of many critics), it also gave birth to a blockbuster franchise that continues to this day with the impending release of Halloween Ends, in which Jamie Lee Curtis‘ Laurie Strode once again squares off against Michael Myers.
