We were devastated to learn of the passing of character actor great René Auberjonois, who died yesterday at the age of 79 following a battle with lung cancer. A star of stage, film and television, Auberjonois is known for his diverse body of work — originating the role of Father Mulcahy in Robert Altman‘s M*A*S*H*, portraying the pompous Clayton Endicott III on Benson, co-starring as the curmudgeonly shapeshifter Odo on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, providing the voice of Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, and shining in so many other iconic roles.
