Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean that the fun has to be! Ensuring that the Yuletide merriment endures all year long, Universal Studios is releasing Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch on DVD and Blu-ray on February 5th.
The animators at Illumination put their singular spin on Dr. Seuss’ timeless seasonal fable in this hit feature-length frolic, as the mean and miserable green-furred Grinch (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch)–weary of the unflagging cheer shown by his neighbors in the town of Whoville–concocts a malicious Christmas Eve plan to steal the very holiday out from under them. With the voices of Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Angela Lansbury, and Cameron Seely as Cindy Lou Who; Pharrell Williams narrates.
Earning over $500,000,000, The Grinch is an enchanting new take on the Seuss classic that showcases dazzling animation and a protagonist who you’ll come to love despite his very many flaws. (Expect your heart to grow two sizes — at the very least — by the time the end credits roll).
