Creed II, the latest installment in the Rocky saga, is currently the biggest movie in the country — bringing in more than $55,000,000 at the box office since it hit theaters last Wednesday evening. The reason for this is simple: The first Creed introduced the character of Adonis Johnson (played by the fantastic Michael B. Jordan), the son of the late, great Apollo Creed. The film chronicled the complex mentorship between Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) and Adonis, and illustrated the challenges both men faced in and out of the ring.
In Creed II, Adonis finds a successful streak threatened by Viktor Drago (the son of Ivan Drago, the primary antagonist in Rocky IV).
