Margot Kidder Takes Flight As Lois Lane in “Superman: The Movie”

Earlier this week, actress Margot Kidder died at the age of 69. Although she received acclaim for her work in films as diverse as Sisters, The Amityville Horror, and Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx, she will rightfully be best remembered for her portrayal of Lois Lane in the Superman films. With a performance that was brash, funny and deeply humor, Kidder was the definitive Lois Lane. Above is the famous “Can You Read My Mind?” flying sequence from 1978’s Superman: The Movie. We can think of no better way to pay tribute to Margot Kidder — and to celebrate all the gifts she has left us — than by watching this clip and marveling at someone who was truly a magical actress.
