R.I.P. “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” Star Robert Vaughn

In a year in which we have lost so many entertainers, it is our sad duty to now report that actor Robert Vaughn has died at the age of 83 from leukemia. Perhaps best known as Napoleon Solo in the 1960s suave, stylish spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Vaughn’s decades-spanning career is also highlighted by appearances in the films The Magnificent Seven, The Young Philadelphians, Battle Beyond the Stars and Superman III. He was an in-demand character actor extraordinaire whose constant work on television and in feature films spoke to his considerable talent and likeability. His final years were spent doing stage and TV work, a further indication of his international appeal. He leaves behind an incredible body of work, as well as scores of mourning fans who are crestfallen that he is no longer with us.

We will have more on Vaughn next week, for now please share your favorite memories of him in the comments.
