A 20-year-old neophyte actress whose sultry looks and demeanor won her instant acclaim and the heart of her co-star; a comedic whirlwind whose screen performances ranged from the frenetic to the poignant at the drop of a hat; an actor who went to child star to nonagenarian while working with everyone from Will Rogers to Ben Stiller; and the curly-topped moppet who (seemingly) single-handedly got America through the Great Depression.
