Hear Former Head of the ACLU Ira Glasser on “The Movies That Made Me”


From 1978 to 2001, Ira Glasser was the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union. His experiences in the role were chronicled in the 2020 documentary Mighty Ira, in which he reflected “on his life at the forefront of defending the rights of all Americans.”

Glasser is the guest on a powerful new episode of The Movies That Made Me in which he discusses the documentary and his impactful career with hosts Josh Olson and Joe Dante. Being an avid sports fan, Ira Glasser also discusses some his favorite iconic athletes who became the subject of acclaimed films across the decade.
