With the summer now and truly under way (as record-breaking heat across the country reiterates), the blockbuster movie season is also back. In this writer’s opinion, Jaws is still the definitive summer film. Since its original release in 1975, Steven Spielberg‘s masterpiece has enchanted generations of viewers thanks to how it combines compelling action with genuine human drama and huge scares.
It is the perfect film in every way.
