Jessica Walter

Another Hollywood great has left us. We learned yesterday that Emmy-winning character actress extraordinaire Jessica Walter died in her sleep at the age of 80. Best known as the acidic, hard-drinking matriarch Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development (a performance that influenced her equally acclaimed voiceover role as Malory Archer in the animated series Archer), Walter enjoyed success on the stage as well as in movies and television for over six decades. Among her other acclaimed roles include everything from the antagonist in the Clint Eastwood thriller Play Misty for Me to the uptight college president in the cult comedy PCU. Walter earned an Emmy for her performance in the title role of Amy Prentiss in 1975, however it is her unforgettably hilarious turn as Lucille Bluth for which she will always be remembered. Here is a look at her funniest moments from Arrested Development
