For this week’s poll, we wanted to focus on one of the best-loved character actors ever (and really, a global treasure) Rick Moranis. First rising to fame through his role on SCTV, Moranis went on to become a familiar presence in 1980s classics like Strange Brew, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and Parenthood among others. Leaving the limelight in the early 1990s to raise his children following the death of his wife, Moranis recently made his comeback through a celebrated TV ad with Ryan Reynolds, and more new films are in the works.
