Sylvester Stallone Retires An Iconic Character in “Rambo: Last Blood”

Having already portrayed Rocky Balboa for a final time in Creed II, Sylvester Stallone retired another of his most iconic characters earlier this year in Rambo: Last Blood. In this fifth (and, purportedly, final) chapter in the saga of John Rambo (portrayed by Stallone, who also co-wrote), the grizzled former Green Beret and Vietnam veteran is living a quiet life on an Arizona horse ranch. But that won’t last long, as Rambo must square off against the members of a vicious Mexican drug cartel who’ve abducted the granddaughter (Yvette Monreal) of an old friend (Adriana Barraza). Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta also star.

On December 17th, Rambo: Last Blood hits Blu-ray, DVD, and Ultra 4K HD. Check it out for a fond farewell to one of cinema’s most complicated characters.
