When X-Men hit theaters in the summer of 2000, no one could imagine how it would usher in the modern era of superhero films. Nearly 20 years later, the saga — which spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs like the Deadpool movies and Hugh Jackman-starring Wolverine solo films — comes to an end with the just-released effort Dark Phoenix.
