Great TV Moments: Tim Conway as Television’s Funniest Dentist

Yesterday comedy legend Tim Conway died yesterday at the age of 85 in Los Angeles, following a battle with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. The hilarious performer who shined in material like McHale’s Navy, The Apple Dumpling Gang (with regular partner in crime Don Knotts), The Private Eyes, his series of Dorf videos, SpongeBob SquarePants, and, of course, The Carol Burnett Show, never failed to elicit laughs through his incredible timing and renowned ability to crack up his castmates. (Popular Hollywood lore states that he once made frequent collaborator Harvey Korman laugh so hard during a sketch on The Carol Burnett Show that he wet his pants). We can think of no better tribute to Conway and the incredible legacy that he leaves behind than the above sketch, one of the funniest things that has ever, and will ever, air on television. Take notes, this is a masterclass in comedy. R.I.P. Tim Conway, thank you for the laughter.
