Today is April’s Fool’s Day, and while I considered the possibility of putting up a prank post today (for the record, I would have said that Warner Brothers is releasing a colorized version of Casablanca with CGI enhancements), ultimately I decided that these sort of articles wind up being more frustrating than fun for the readers. So instead, I thought I’d celebrate the new month by showcasing five legends who all have birthdays this month!
The Wild One himself was born on April 3, 1924.
The Little Tramp was born on April 16, 1889 and died on Christmas Day in 1977. He was 88 years old.
The British film legend who is best known for his role as Obi Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars trilogy was born on April 2, 1914.
The legendary star of To Kill a Mockingbird (among many others) was born on April 5, 1916 in San Diego, California. He died in 2003 at the age of 87.
The charming actor whose performance in Zorba the Greek cemented his status as a showbiz icon was born on April 21st, 1915 and died in 2001 at the age of 86.
