On November 23rd, legendary English director Nicolas Roeg died of natural causes at the age of 90. After starting a career as a cinematographer — he worked second unit on Lawrence of Arabia, he soon found himself in the director’s chair. With a dynamic visual style, Roeg made a name for himself with wildly diverse works like Walkabout, The Man Who Fell to Earth (starring David Bowie, in a hypnotic performance that truly tapped into the rock star’s otherworldly nature), and The Witches, an adaptation of the Roald Dahl story that has gone on to become a cult classic.
For this week’s poll we want to know which of the director’s films were your favorite. Vote below, and feel free to share your thoughts on Roeg and his work in the comments!
