Welcome to MovieFanFare’s 31 Days of Halloween Celebrations!

The calendar is now on October 1st, which means that the next month is going to be a spooky celebration unlike anything you have ever seen before. Welcome then to the official kickoff of our 31 Days of Halloween celebrations. Every day here on MovieFanFare we will be featuring original content as well as articles from our archives alongside of our usual posts…all leading up to a special Halloween spectacular. We are very excited to unveil what we have planned for you!

Let’s get things started with what is the unofficial theme song of the season, “This is Halloween” from 1993’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. This wonderfully bizarre and visually stunning Yuletide treat from the mind of Tim Burton and director Henry Selick, who uses stop-motion animation to tell the story of Jack Skellington (voiced by Chris Sarandon), the bored Pumpkin King of Halloweenland. When he accidentally discovers Christmastown, Jack decides to kidnap Santa Claus and take charge of the holiday in his own spooky style.

We know this song will get you in the Halloween, um, spirit. And be sure to come back every day this month to see what other frightful fun we have in store!
