With Thor: Ragnarok now available on DVD and Blu-ray, a whole new wave of viewers who may have missed the film during its theatrical run are discovering how it is unlike anything seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. A huge part of the movie’s appeal is Jeff Goldblum‘s hilariously odd performance as the Grandmaster. It’s the latest in a string of quirk roles over the decades that have rightfully made Goldblum a household name, and one of the entertainment world’s most in-demand character actors.

    Early TV appearances where I first saw him. (I was too young to go see Invasion of the Body Snatchers). I got my first look at him as Ichabod Crane in a TV movie version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. And I liked the TV show he was in with Ben Vereen (Tenspeed and Brown Shoe)

      I saw him in a 1978 Charles Bronson movie St. Ives. Charlie gets out of and elevator and three punks attack him. Jeff, Robert Englund and somebody else who DIDN’T get famous.

    I liked Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Malcolm in Jurassic Park because he was more than just comedic. The character was interesting, a little funny, a little serious.
