Sad news to report: Character actor and iconoclast Harry Dean Stanton died yesterday at the age of 91. Delivering earnest and naturalistic performances in everything from Paris, Texas to Alien to a recent appearance in the Twin Peaks revival, Stanton was a reliable and much beloved presence in films and on television for decades.
