As impossible as it may seem, Casablanca turns 75 this year. Perhaps the most beloved movie ever made, this Humphrey Bogart/Ingrid Bergman masterpiece helped define what makes a film an enduring classic. As a person who is always curious about how movies are marketed (especially films like this one that have become such a cultural touchstone), I wanted to share with you the original theatrical trailer for Casablanca. What is most interesting about this piece of motion picture history is how much of the film it reveals, yet still gets audiences interested in the story and its timeless characters.
