R.I.P. “Mannix” Star Mike Connors 1925-2017

Another Hollywood great has left us. Mike Connors has died at the age of 91 of leukemia. Best known for his role on the 1967-75 CBS detective series Mannix, Connors had a career in show business that spanned over six decades. Following a steady variety of film and TV roles (including a part in The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston), he became a household name through his work on Mannix thanks to his charm and everyman qualities. After that show came to an end in the mid-seventies, he continued to pop up in various projects, and did so up until the final years of his life. (A 2007 appearance on the sitcom Two and a Half Men was one of his final acting credits). Connors is one of those great character actors who was as reliable as he was well-liked, a truly gifted actor whose work enriched the pop culture landscape.
