R.I.P. Twin Peaks, Robocop, and NCIS: Los Angeles Actor Miguel Ferrer

Sad news from Hollywood to report, character actor great Miguel Ferrer has died at the age of 61 following a battle with cancer. Best known for his roles as the smarmy Bob Morton in the original Robocop, as abrasive FBI forensics expert Albert Rosenfield in Twin Peaks, and as Owen Granger in NCIS: Los Angeles, Ferrer brought a unique charm to every character he played (even the unlikable ones). Acting was in his very genes, with Ferrer being the son of José Ferrer — who became the first Hispanic actor to win an Academy Award for 1950’s Cyrano de Bergerac — and Rosemary Clooney. (George Clooney is his cousin). In one of his final appearances, Miguel Ferrer will reprise his Twin Peaks role when that series returns to Showtime later this year, giving audiences a parting farewell at one of our ages finest actors.
