R.I.P. Noel Neill, The First On-Screen Lois Lane

On Sunday, Noel Neill died at her home in Arizona at the age of 95. Although she began her career as a contract player for Paramount Studios, she first impacted the consciousness of the general public through her role as Lois Lane in the serials Superman and Atom Man vs. Superman.. She later reprised her iconic role on television in The Adventures of Superman from the second season (in which she replaced Phyllis Coates) until the series’ ended, and made cameo appearances in other film and TV projects featuring the Man of Steel throughout the decades.
