What Are Some Of Your Favorite Summer-Set Films?

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here on the East Coast we are currently in the midst of some gross humid and hot yuckiness.

As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of heat and/or sunshine, I tend to spend these sort of sultry days in the air conditioning watching movies. If you do the same, I want to hear from you.

What movies set in the summer do you enjoy? Jaws, American Graffiti, Beach Blanket Bingo, The Karate Kid, are all some unforgettable flicks that take place during the summer months. These films may not help bring the temperature down, but there’s no question that they are all eternally cool!

So what are your favorite summertime films? Sound off in the comments!

Yesterday (Sunday) I viewed on TV the original Jaws (having seen it already about 5 times), then Jaws 2, then the original Jaws again. I could view this movie over and over again. I think the fact that the original, at least, was filmed up at my favorite vacation place, Cape Cod, is one reason and that the general theme of this classic film is a modern motion picture version of Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick,” a great book!

Jaws is my favorite, but a newer one I really like is The Way Way Back.
