As if 2016 hasn’t already been devastating enough to the music industry and pop culture in general, the world is just learning that Prince died at his home in Minneapolis today at the age of 57. As of this writing no cause of death has been announced. I encourage you to take some time out of your day either to listen to one of his numerous hits — I imagine they are being played on countless stations in tribute right this very minute — or re-watch his classic film Purple Rain, the trailer for which is featured above. It won’t make his loss any easier, but it will allow you to take comfort in the impressive legacy that he left behind.
