Six Pix: The X Factor

Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the film.

These Six Pix have “The X Factor.”

X

Included are: Doctor X (1932); The Man from Planet X (1951); X–The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (1963); Malcolm X (1992); American History X (1998); and X-Men (2000).

You were expecting Simon Cowell? Demi Lovato? Nope, just a half dozen movie posters which feature the letter X. I especially like the haunting visage of Ray Milland in X—The Man with the X-Ray Eyes, the grainy black & white image of Edward Norton in American History X, and the teaser of what may lie behind the double doors embossed with the X-Men logo. Deciding among them is tough as each is successful in what they’re putting down. From a pure artistic standpoint I should choose X—The Man with the X-Ray Eyes. However, the sense of wonder and anticipation that X-Men elicits from such a minimalist design rates it a winner on my scorecard.

Which one do you think is the winner? Should I have included something else? Tell me about it below!
