Put the Movie Moon Into Your Orbit

MOON

Moody, unsettling, and reminiscent of an earlier era of pre-Lucas science fiction filmmaking, director Duncan Jones’ film Moon offers fresh intellectual pleasures along with a (by now typically) sterling performance from star Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind). Seek it out at your local art house theatre (if you’re lucky enough to have one nearby), then return here and address how (and why) Rockwell deserves favorable comparisons with Boris Karloff and Jeremy Irons. The film was scripted by Nathan Parker from a story by Jones (the son of David Bowie).
