Six Pix: The White Suit

Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the film.

Besides Tom Wolfe, who can pull off wearing a white suit? The men in these Six Pix of course.

Included are: The Man in the White Suit (1951); Saturday Night Fever (1977); Scarface (1983); The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (1998); Meet Dave (2008); and Casa de mi Padre (2012).

Though Alec is best known for donning the titular garment the poster doesn’t really do the film justice. In my estimation that leaves Tony Montana and Tony Manero to duke it out. Everything about the now-iconic Scarface poster is right up my alley. On the other hand, Saturday Night Fever hits all the right notes: flashing lights and glam colors, his serious expression (of disco!), that famous pose, and, especially, the king of suits. Another triumph for Tony from Brooklyn.

Which one do you think is the winner? Should I have included something else? Tell me about it below! (And please feel free to suggest future topics.)
