In 1984 he set his sights on directing feature films, debtuing with the cult classic rockumentary spoof This Is Spinal Tap. Over the next 40 years Reiner helmed such beloved pictures as Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, Misery, A Few Good Men, The American President, Ghosts of Mississippi, The Bucket List, and many more. This year saw the release of his 22nd and final directorial feature, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.
