Poll: Which Classic TV Show Had the Best A Christmas Carol Episode?

For as long as there has been television, there have been Christmas-themed  TV episodes (Remember Dragnet’s missing Baby Jesus nativity statue?). And one of the most common tropes for these shows has been to spoof, send up, or pay tribute to Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Take a character with a bit of curmudgeon in them, have them say “Bah, humbug!” to the holidays, sprinkle in a few other regulars to appear as ghosts, and presto…it just about writes itself.

Over the years Jack Klugman, Redd Foxx, Michael J. Fox, and Martin Lawrence are among the actors who have gotten the chance to show off their inner Scrooge, while programs as diverse as Bewtiched, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Real Ghostbusters, and Xena: Warrior Princess have tipped their repective hats to Dickens’ timeless tale.

For this week’s poll, we’d like you to vote from the list below for your favorite A Christmas Carol-based episode from a classic TV series. And in case you’re wondering, we didn’t include Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol or A Flintstone Christmas Carol because they were specials made after their original shows ended. If you think we should have listed them, feel free to tell us in the comments. Thanks, and God bless us, everyone.
