Since we are still flying high about yesterday’s 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we thought we’d feature one more post about the brave astronauts who helped make history all those years ago. Albeit it in a humorous way. In the 2010 episode of the Tina Fey sitcom 30 Rock called “The Moms,” Fey’s Liz Lemon character learns that her mother was once romantically involved with Apollo 11 mission member Buzz Aldrin. Towards the end of the installment, Lemon meets Aldrin, who tells the daughter of his old flame all about the cathartic power of yelling at the moon.
As glimpsed above, it is a hilarious moment that shows how Buzz is a natural at comedy, more than happy to make light of an experience that forever changed life here on Earth.
