ER was the medical series that defined the 1990s. Created by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park) the show chronicled the complicated lives of the doctors, nurses, and medical students at Chicago’s County General Hospital. Running for 15 seasons and 331 episodes, the show was a pop culture phenomenon that helped make stars like George Clooney and Juliana Margulies into household names. Due to how long the series was on the air, characters were constantly coming and going. What resulted was a medical drama unlike anything seen before or since.
