It’s time for another Sunday Funday, and this week we are all about Coco. Hitting DVD and Blu-ray this Tuesday, the latest Disney/Pixar offering concerns 12-year-old Miguel Rivera (Anthony Gonzalez) — a young man whose musical ability is amazing, an unappreciated by his family, who would prefer that he join their cobbling business. Coming upon the guitar of his generations-ago singing cowboy idol (Benjamin Bratt), a single strum transports him to the Land of the Dead…and as his skeletal ancestors aid in his struggle to get home, he learns how to walk the line between dreams and duty. Colorful hit from Pixar also features the voices of Gael GarcĂa Bernal, Alanna Ubach, Alfonso Arau.
Funko has captured several of the film’s characters — including Miguel, Ernesto, and Papa — in their line of Coco Mystery Minis. These highly collectible miniature vinyl toy figurines come in so-called “blind box” packaging. This means you don’t know what figure you actually get until you open it. But much like Coco itself, the fun comes in the discovery and unraveling of the mystery and fun that awaits you.
