Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2

Marvel Comics’ troublemaking, spacefaring adventurers return in this exciting sequel. This time, the Guardians of the Galaxy–Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), and Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel)–join forces with some old foes as they encounter Ego (Kurt Russell), an ancient and powerful cosmic being who also happens to be Star-Lord’s father. With Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and Sylvester Stallone.

Undercurrent

Sheltered Ann Hamilton (Katharine Hepburn) was easily caught up in the charms of handsome, sophisticated airplane manufacturer Alan Garroway (Robert Taylor), and couldn’t reject his swift proposal. As she tries to fit into his Washington social circle, disturbing aspects of her new husband’s personality and past start to surface…and pursuing the truth about his fortune may prove her undoing. Vincente Minnelli’s noirish melodrama co-stars Robert Mitchum, Edmund Gwenn, Marjorie Main, Jayne Meadows.

Barton Fink

A perplexing and fascinating mix of psychological drama and black comedy, Joel and Ethan Coen’s award-winning film stars John Turturro as Barton Fink, a ’40s New York playwright hired by a Hollywood studio to write screenplays. Fink’s inability to complete the assignment, the rundown hotel he stays in, and a talkative insurance salesman from the next room all play a part in a cinematic descent into Hell. With John Goodman, Judy Davis, Michael Lerner.

Scorchy

To all outward appearances, Jackie “Scorchy” Parker (Connie Stevens) was a fast-living pilot operating a pricey one-woman charter service out of Seattle. In actuality, she was an undercover narcotics agent who’d been angling for years to break the Northwest’s most notorious heroin importer (Cesare Danova)…and when he books her to transport his latest shipment, all hell is going to break loose. Blazing cop actioner also stars William Smith, Greg Evigan, Norman Burton, Joyce Jameson.

Kill Switch

With much of the action presented from a first-person point of view, this exciting and immersive science-fiction tale finds an attempt to create a parallel universe called the Echo that can be used as an endless energy source going horribly awry. Now, scientist and pilot Will Porter (Dan Stevens) must enter the Echo and fight his way across a dangerous landscape in an effort to undo the damage. But can both universes be saved? Bérénice Marlohe, Tygo Gernandt, Charity Wakefield also star.
