Great Movie Scenes: Bill Murray Discovers the True Meaning of Christmas in “Scrooged”

A very 1980s retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Scrooged stars Bill Murray as Frank Cross, a successful TV exec who receives laugh-packed lessons in having holiday spirit from some antagonistic apparitions! The film ends with Cross having learned to stop humbugging, so he delivers a speech to television audiences in which he discusses what the holidays are really about. Of course, were this real-life, he would be fired for having an on air nervous breakdown, but that doesn’t diminish any of the finale’s power. Put a little love in your heart and check out this scene above.
