One of the ways this year’s 50th anniversary of Star Trek was commemorated was with the release of Star Trek Beyond, a superb sci-fi adventure that marked the first truly original adventure for the reboot cast. The film hits DVD & Blu-ray this week, and if you somehow missed it during its theatrical run I highly recommend you check it out as it is a film that feels, for lack of a better term, quintessentially Star Trek and reflective of Gene Roddenberry’s original vision. It’s also extraordinarily entertaining.
