Six Pix: Trains

Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the film.

This Six Pix features a half-dozen train posters. All aboard!

Movie Posters Featuring Movie With Trains

Included are: The Iron Horse (1924); The Silver Streak (1934); Murder on the Orient Express (1974); The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974); Runaway Train (1985); and The Polar Express (2004).

I’ve engineered six one-sheets spanning from the first transcontinental steam trains of the 1800s to graffiti-tagged New York subways of the 1970s to an imaginative magical express headed to the North Pole. In my opinion three never leave the station; the ones I alluded to are the posters that stop me in my tracks. But I still have to let two off at the junction because only one can pull into the depot of first place. For me, The Iron Horse is just the ticket.

Which one do you think is the winner? Should I have included something else? Tell me about it below! (And please feel free to suggest future topics.)
