Six Pix: The Little Black Dress

Six Pix presents a sextet of movie posters representing a particular actor/director/genre. You pick the one you feel is visually the most artistic or best sums up the film.

What’s sharper than a man in a white suit? A woman in a little black dress, of course.

Included are: The Lady from Shanghai (1948); La Dolce Vita (1960); Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961); Some Like It Hot (1959); La Femme Nikita (1991); and I Think I Love My Wife (2007).

Arguably the little black dress was perfected by designer Givenchy for Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. However, the poster itself doesn’t rate as highly as some others here. Rita Hayworth looks wicked indeed in that slinky black number, but the edge has to go to the breastacular Anita Ekberg in the smoldering poster for La Dolce Vita. Meeeowwww!

Which one do you think is the winner? Should I have included something else? Tell me about it below! (And please feel free to suggest future topics.)
