Steven Spielberg‘s Ready Player One is currently thrilling audiences thanks to its stunning visuals and countless nostalgic references. Largely set in virtual reality, the film owes much to not only films of the 1980s, but other works like The Shining (which is referenced in one of the film’s set pieces) and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory — a work whose pursuit of “Pure Imagination” was an obvious and massive influence on Ready Player One is clear.
You can relive the magic of the movie — which itself was based on Ernest Cline’s best-seller — with an assortment of Funko POP! vinyl toys. The Heroes Collection includes Daito, Art3mis, Parzival, Aech, and Sho, while the Villains Collection showcases the characters of Sorrento, Sixer, and i-ROK. Each of these assortments features the characters packaged in collectible window boxes, with the toys themselves measuring 3 3/4 inches. (And yes, there is even an Iron Giant toy from the film featured in the collection).
If all this isn’t, well, totally awesome enough already, Funko has also released toy recreations of the film’s magnificent MacGuffins: The Keys from the film. All of these products won’t actually transport you to the Oasis, but they are the next best thing!
