What if Judd Apatow remade Robert Altman’s 1970 classic MASH?

Hollywood loves remakes these days. I have a theory that, at some point, we'll see every remotely popular film made between 1960 and 1990 reworked for modern audiences. The best we can hope for is that the filmmakers and performers behind these "re-imaginations" and "re-inventions" are qualified to take a stab at some of our old favorites. From "Freaks and Geeks" to "Funny People," writer/director Judd Apatow has demonstrated a unique comedic sensibility that seamlessly blends raunch with heart and fully realized, robust characters, making him the perfect choice to have a go at Richard Hooker's novel. Here, I take a look at what it might be like if Apatow and his merry band of regulars inhabited the 4077th.

    that would be absolutely hilarious.

Seth Rogen as SSgt. Vollmer, now that is funny! LOL

This is all ridiculous. WHY would anyone want to re-make a masterpiece?

  4. Kurt says:

Anyone but tired and stupid douche bag Will Ferrell as anything. I think a better Trapper John to Owen Wilson's Hawkeye would be John Corbett or Ed Burns or Nathan Fillion. Will Ferrell is over-exposed and unfunny.

  5. Linda says:

I can't imagine anyone but Alan Alda as Pierce. I think that sometimes it is best to leave a classic (or potential classic) movie alone. This is one of those cases. It would be like remaking Casablanca; simply a poor decision. Leave perfection alone.

  6. MEANDAMOVIE says:

Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell; continuing along with the utter mess of other classics remade, this casting is just plain dumb! It would be as funny as falling off a roof. Leave perfection be! There are certain things that should never be tampered with and MASH is tops on the list.

Remake of MASH I'm not sure it would be the same you can't remake a masterpiece

I don't care for ANY of actors on the list for Mash. I hated mash the first time. and it would really suck with this cast. Why do they thing they need to remake any movie! Why can't someone come up with new material. It's rediculous to keep redoing everything with new actors and BORING!
