What Was Your Favorite Kenny Rogers Acting Role?

Kenny Rogers, the music legend responsible for such crossover hits as “Coward of the County, “The Gambler,” “Lady,” and so many more, died on Friday, March 20th at the age of 81. For decades the bearded crooner was a staple on the radio with his country-tinged pop that was enjoyed everywhere from the heartland to the big cities. Although Rogers was best known as a singer, he often stepped away from the mic and in front of the camera to show off his impressive dramatic skills. His best known role was that of Old West hero Brady Hawkes in the 1980 made-for-TV film The Gambler — an effort that was so popular that it spawned four sequels. Rogers also shined in the 1982 comedy Six Pack, a popular box office favorite that marked an early performance by Diane Lane.
