Like all beloved character actors, you may not have know Sid Haig‘s name, but you definitely knew his face. The gruff-yet-lovable star was arguably best known for his work as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie‘s House of 1000 Corpses franchise (the latest film in the saga, 3 From Hell, just hit theaters). Haig shone brightly as the heavy in countless film and TV projects spanning six decades, in everything from Foxy Brown to Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and the cult favorite sci-fi series Jason of Star Command.
