Memorial Day weekend is once again upon us! The next few days are a time of reflection and remembrance as we celebrate those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that we enjoy the freedoms that our country affords us. Along with being one of the busiest travel periods of the year, Memorial Day weekend has traditionally been a fantastic period for movie lovers since Jaws ushered in the age of the blockbuster and the start of the summer movie season back in 1975. Indeed, over the next 72 hours people across the country will be gathering with friends and loved ones to watch movies either thematically appropriate for the holiday (The Best Years of Our Lives, Saving Private Ryan), and/or popcorn favorites like the Indiana Jones or Avengers movies.
