One of the great films celebrating its 30th anniversary year this year is Say Anything… Cameron Crowe‘s 1989 romantic comedy features John Cusack as Lloyd Dobler, a kickboxing high school student who is wise beyond his years despite not having fully figured out what he wants from life. He falls for Diane Court (Ione Skye), an honors student who everyone believes is out of Lloyd’s league…except for Lloyd. Their complicated relationship, including interference from Diane’s overbearing father (John Mahoney) results in an unforgettable love story that resonated with viewers of all ages.
