We learned yesterday that Emmy-winning character actress extraordinaire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=jessica+walter&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Walter<\/a> died in her sleep at the age of 80. Best known as the acidic, hard-drinking matriarch Lucille Bluth on <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=arrested+development&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Arrested Development<\/a><\/em> (a performance that influenced her equally acclaimed voiceover role as Malory Archer in the animated series <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=archer&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Archer<\/a><\/em>), Walter enjoyed success on the stage as well as in movies and television for over six decades. Among her other acclaimed roles include everything from the antagonist in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/search?q=clint+eastwood&#038;mod=AP\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Clint Eastwood<\/a> thriller <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moviesunlimited.com\/play-misty-for-me\/025192142826\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Play Misty for Me<\/a><\/em> to the uptight college president in the cult comedy <em>PCU<\/em>. Walter earned an Emmy for her performance in the title role of <em>Amy Prentiss<\/em> in 1975, however it is her unforgettably hilarious turn as Lucille Bluth for which she will always be remembered.
